This Privacy Policy explains how Slyde ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our macOS application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

When you use Slyde, you may provide text prompts, topic descriptions, reference materials, URLs, and images for presentation generation. This content is processed to generate slides and is not stored on our servers after processing is complete.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

We may collect basic usage analytics such as app version, operating system version, and aggregate feature usage statistics. We do not collect personally identifiable information through analytics.

2.3 Purchase Information

Coin purchases are processed through Apple In-App Purchase. We do not collect or store your payment information. Apple handles all payment processing in accordance with their privacy policy.

3. AI Processing

To generate presentation content and images, your text prompts and attached materials are sent to third-party AI service providers accessed via OpenRouter. These providers process your data solely to fulfill your generation requests. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of these providers for details on how they handle data.

AI-generated content is returned directly to your device. We do not retain copies of your prompts or generated output on our servers.

4. Data Storage

All presentations you create are stored locally on your Mac. We do not upload, sync, or back up your presentations to any cloud service. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your locally stored files.

5. Third-Party Services

Slyde integrates with the following third-party services for core functionality:

• OpenRouter— routing to third-party AI models for text and image generation
• Apple In-App Purchase— for coin pack transactions

Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them to understand how your data may be handled.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access any personal data we hold about you (which is minimal, as noted above)
• Request deletion of any data associated with your use of the Service
• Opt out of analytics collection by disabling analytics in the app settings
• Export or delete all locally stored presentations at any time through macOS Finder

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data during transmission to AI service providers, including TLS encryption for all network communications. Since presentations are stored locally, the security of your files depends on the security of your Mac.

8. Children's Privacy

Slyde is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the app or on our website. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
