Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Slyde ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any modifications.

2. Service Description

Slyde is a native macOS application that uses artificial intelligence to generate presentation slides. The App allows users to describe topics, provide reference materials, and receive AI-generated presentations including text content, layout, and images. The App requires an internet connection for AI generation features.

3. Account and Eligibility

You must have a valid Apple ID to purchase coin packs through Apple In-App Purchase. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and any activity that occurs under your account.

4. Coins and Payments

Slyde uses a coin-based system for AI generation. Coins are purchased through Apple In-App Purchase and are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies. Coin balances are non-transferable and have no cash value. We reserve the right to modify coin pricing and generation costs with reasonable notice.

4.1 Coin Usage

Each slide generated with an AI image costs 1 coin. Text-only presentations cost 1 coin total. Regenerating a slide costs 1 coin. Coin costs are displayed before each generation so you can make an informed decision.

4.2 Refunds

Since coins are consumed upon AI generation, we generally cannot offer refunds for used coins. For unused coin purchases, refund requests should be directed to Apple in accordance with their refund policy.

5. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of all input content you provide to the App, including text prompts, reference materials, images, and documents. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any materials you provide to the App for AI processing.

6. AI-Generated Content

Content generated by AI through the App is provided for your use in creating presentations. You may use AI-generated text and images in your presentations for personal and commercial purposes. However, you acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may not be unique and similar outputs may be generated for other users
• AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies or errors, and you are responsible for reviewing and verifying all content before use
• We do not guarantee that AI-generated images will not resemble existing copyrighted works, and you assume responsibility for verifying the originality of generated content
• AI-generated content is subject to the terms of the underlying AI service providers

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

• Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or its underlying services
• Use the App for any purpose that violates applicable laws or regulations

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Slyde and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the App.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the App.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
